Located centrally in the Midlands region of England and bounded by the industrial heartlands of Birmingham and Coventry to the North this county is essentially rural with dairy farming and market gardening being among the most important. The area has been encroached upon by residential suburbs and some light industry spreading out from it's northern neighbours.
The main town is Warwick which has a long history dating back to Roman times and now has a modern and well regarded university. Tourists come to the area to visit the home of William Shakespeare in Stratford which has a renowned theatre dedicated to his works. Boating holidays are also popular making good use of local rivers together with disused canals.
