Located in the east of England in the area known as East Anglia this county's coastline is the North Sea to the east and has the county of Norfolk located to the North. This is a beautiful are of England made famous in the paintings of John Constable such as the Haywain. Many tourists are able to visit the places painted in his pictures and find them still recognisable. Visitors to the county also enjoy the picturesque villages such as Southwold as well as the often windswept but beautiful sandy beaches .
In addition to tourism the main empoyment in the region is from agriculture with cereal crops and vegetables among the most commonly found although sheep are also farmed for their wool. Southwold and it's larger neighbours such as Lowestoft still earn money from fishing although this is becoming less and less prevalent. Ipswich however continues to thrive on it's coastal location as it has become an important port.
