Located in the south west of England and bordering the Bristol Channel this county is littered with incredible areas of beauty such as Cheddar Gorge and the Exmoor National Park, many of which are now protected by law.
Agriculture is still dominant and the region is famous for its Cheddar cheese and for cider making. Improved road links with other areas of the country have served to increase the flow of visitors who also come to enjoy the coastal resorts and many of the stately homes in the region.
